I came here straight from school but I’d still choose Nationwide today because it’s a large, stable, mutual organisation, with a good reputation in the industry.

It’s important to develop a good relationship with your Branch Manager, Mortgage Consultant and Senior Financial Consultant because, to be successful, you need to work together as a team.
The best things about the role are dealing with customers and making a difference in their lives, working as part of a successful team and being able to share and enjoy the success. The biggest challenges are meeting your daily targets, and keeping the team around me motivated.
My success has been due to having a lot of background knowledge and experience to draw on. Being able to communicate with customers of all ages and backgrounds is really important. Most of all asking for the business at every opportunity and promoting Nationwide is key to being successful.
This is a great job if you enjoy talking with and helping people. Being true to your customers ensures that not only do they return time and again but they also refer their family and friends. The targets are achievable and the rewards are there if you exceed them.
