Steve - Senior Branch Manager

My name's Steve, I'm the Senior Branch Manager at the Southampton Branch. My overall responsibility as a Senior Branch Manager is to ensure that the branch, this key location, actually performs to its business targets, its controls and remains complaint within the Financial Services Authority. Every morning we start up with a team energiser to get the team focused on what we're going to do for the day, in terms of what we're going to achieve. We ensure that we're all pledging what we're going to challenge and stretch ourselves towards in our own personal targets. We come together as a team to celebrate yesterday and to work together as to how we're going to hit today's challenges. The targets I'm given are challenging targets, I like a challenge and it ensures we've got something to get up for in the mornings and something to go for. The targets relate around service for the customers, around compliance and controls and risk and also our business generation targets, so yes, they're challenging but absolutely doable as long as we focus on the right things.
