Financial performance

You change people's lives for the better. We do the same for yours.

Finance is playing a vital role in transforming Nationwide. If the Group is to make informed strategic decisions at a time of ambitious change, then accurate financial forecasting, planning and reporting is critical. And the more its insights, analysis and expertise influence the direction of the business, the more successful Finance is seen to be.

Building constructive working relationships with internal business leaders and external regulators, Finance makes sure its reporting delivers the best outcome for members. Although professionals work across the UK, most are based in our main admin centres in Swindon, Northampton and Bournemouth.

Financial Management

It's an exciting time to be part of Financial Management here at Nationwide. Not only is this one of the fastest growing areas of our organisation, but Financial Management is playing a more important role than ever before in driving and influencing the transformational change throughout the organisation.

We have a broad range of influential roles for both Accountants and Senior Accountants in a number of different areas within our Financial Management Division. You'll need to possess a relevant qualification, either CIMA, ACCA or ACA, and you should be a confident team player, a hard worker and ambitious to make your own contribution to our success. Along with some really great benefits, we'll make sure you have a wide variety of work. And because we're growing so fast, the prospects for progression here really are exceptional.

Strategic Decision Support

Based mainly in our Swindon headquarters, members of this team are outward-looking business partners. As they help business leaders through pricing analysis, planning and performance reporting, their financial expertise informs critical decisions.

Central Finance

Internally focused, the teams here are involved in financial planning, analysis and tax management. They interact with their Finance customers, concentrating on corporate financial priorities such as Board reporting, change, income and cost co-ordination. They're located in both Swindon and Northampton.

Finance Shared Service Centre

Mainly located in Northampton, this function specialises in Financial Accounting and Statutory Reporting. It's run as a business, providing efficient, cost-effective services to internal customers and external regulators. Wherever you work we'll encourage you to grow and progress through our own accredited development initiatives and promotion possibilities. You'll have the chance to specialise in a specific discipline or to vary your career. Whether you're ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CTA or AAT qualified or part-qualified, or looking for your first Finance role, you'll get the career you deserve - provided you're ambitious and results focused with strong analytical and consulting skills.
