Need to know more? This section of the site contains answers to many of the questions we regularly get asked.
How much will I be paid?
If you apply to the General Leadership Programme, then your starting salary will be £28,000.
For all of the other graduate programmes your starting salary will be £25,500.
On the Industrial Placement Programmes, or the Summer Internship programmes, you’ll earn £17,000 pro rata.
You will also receive a great benefits package, including 24 days holiday, healthcare, Life Assurance and a Corporate Bonus plus many more rewards.
If I am successful, when will I start work with Nationwide?
For those applying for the Graduate opportunities, the start date will be September 2012. For Industrial Placements and Summer internships, it will be June/July 2012.
Can I apply to more than one of the roles?
No. Each specific role offers very different opportunities and it's therefore unlikely that more than one would suit your career preferences.

Industrial Placements typically last for 12 months.
Summer internships last for 8-14 weeks.
How long will the graduate programme last?
All programmes last for 2 years apart from Financial Reporting and Financial Management. These two programmes last for 3 years to match the length of the professional qualification study time (CIMA or ACCA).
Will Nationwide sponsor me to take on further professional qualifications?
Yes, if it is a requirement of the role.
What support will I receive on the graduate programme?
You’ll have access to our wide range of internal development programmes and receive on the job support, ongoing mentoring and coaching. We also have an excellent mentoring approach, linked to regular discussions and feedback to ensure your personal and professional development stays on track. Your mentor will be able to help you guide your career and achieve your development goals.
