Audit
Audit is central to the success of our business. By evaluating the effectiveness of controls across the business they provide assurance that the key risks our business faces are effectively mitigated. These controls take many forms, including system-based validation checks, management information and straightforward requisition and approval processes.
To ensure that business controls are designed and operating effectively, Audit conducts independent assurance reviews using a risk-based audit approach, reporting findings to the Audit Committee. Audit produce an annual plan of work which is flexed quarterly to reflect changes to the business. They also ensure that potential or existing issues are properly addressed
Graduates
As part of the Audit programme, you’ll gain exposure to all areas of our business, from departments such as Treasury, Finance and IT to activities such as Savings, Distribution and Lending. In doing so, you’ll experience every stage of an audit. This includes identifying areas of risk, working with management to ensure that proposed solutions will mitigate key risks and reviewing these solutions to ensure effectiveness.
You’ll also develop business relationships and make contacts at all levels across the business.
When you first join the programme you’ll assist on audits, but as your knowledge and experience grow you’ll begin to work independently on whole sections of larger audits. You many even find yourself leading an assignment under the guidance of the lead auditor or manager.

Whether this is through acquiring a professional qualification, exposing you to specific areas of the business or providing you with training to do your job more effectively, we’ll give you the tools you need to build the career you want.
Requirements
To join, you’ll need a 2:1 degree in any discipline and 260 UCAS points (preferably including A-level Maths, but excluding general studies).
Highly personable with excellent negotiation and communication skills, you’ll be the type of person who works well within a team and has a real attention to detail.
