They also work on transformational projects, model future corporate performance, set retail sales targets and manage marketing budgets worth millions of pounds.
Graduates
If you’re looking for practical, on-the-job training across a range of roles and teams, this is the programme for you. You’ll be given three placements in three different parts of the business. That way, you’ll get to see how different areas of the society operate and provide best value for money. Moreover, you’ll gain a solid grounding in accounting and finance practices.
Although each graduate’s experience is unique, a typical programme might look something like this: you join Protection & Investments during your first year, managing the accounting for their products and implementing more profitable ways of thinking. The next year you become part of Treasury Finance, managing funds into and out of the business and ensuring we’re able to support any downturn in the market. During your final year you join Distribution and discover how we manage different customer channels, while also helping senior management find the right balance between stretching sales targets and setting sales commissions.
Central to any Finance professional’s career progression is gaining a relevant qualification. That’s why during your three years on this programme, we’ll provide you with funding and study leave to give you the best chance possible of earning a CIMA or ACCA qualification. In the past, graduates who have taken this programme have gone on to join our Finance team and to become senior executives within the business. Apply to the programme today, and you could be the next.
