Marketing
The Marketing department is made up of two main areas: Brand & Product, and Customer. Brand & Product serves as the guardian of the Nationwide brand. They ensure a consistent voice across all communication channels, and they make sure that all marketing activities are coordinated and joined-up. Brand & Product also develops and uses sponsorship properties to increase recognition of the Nationwide brand, as well as to promote understanding of our brand proposition. Just as importantly, they create engaging campaigns that promote our products and reflect brand identity.
Customer marketing is dedicated to increasing customer satisfaction. The team analyses data about our members, then uses this information to devise targeted product and service offers. They also measure customer experience across distribution channels, produce relevant and insightful communications for individual customers, manage the Group’s marketing database and provide data when and where it’s needed to drive sales and improve service.
Graduates
As a graduate, you could be based in a number of places across marketing. In another placement you might manage an advertising campaign, responsible for turning product plans into engaging and insightful communications.
You could also join our brand strategy team, capturing what our brand stands for, ensuring that it is applied consistently and providing vital support during the production of television campaigns. Or you could work with our internal advertising agency, managing a team of advertising experts to generate creative ideas and produce compelling advertisements.
Whatever tasks you wind up carrying out though, we’ll give you the training you need to succeed – and support you while you study for a Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification.
