When you join one of our graduate programmes your starting salary will be £25,500, unless you are on our General Leadership Programme where the starting salary is £28,000. If you’re on one of our Industrial Placement Programmes, or on a Summer Internship you’ll earn £17,000 pro rata.

You are automatically entered into the Nationwide Group Personal Pension. In your first two years the employers contribution rate is 5%, and after 2 years service the employer’s contribution rate rises to 9%. If you decide to pay additional contributions we’ll match them up to a maximum of 3% after two years of service.

The Nationwide bonus scheme is linked to our corporate performance and each employee’s individual performance rating in their annual appraisal. If Nationwide meets its corporate objectives, and employees on our graduate programme meet the objectives of their role then they are entitled to a bonus of 7%.Depending on performance the amount payable varies from 0-20%. Bonus is non-contractual.
