Branches

Be the face of Nationwide
The one-to-one, face-to-face relationships we have with customers probably have the most impact on how they feel about Nationwide.

That’s why, when you work in one of our branches, personality counts for everything. You’ll be right on the front line of our business, getting to know customers and making sure they have the right product for their needs. It’s hugely satisfying – and very varied. There’s always something new to learn and every customer you talk to will be different.

If you’re flexible and have a real way with people, we’ll bring out the best in you with the right support, thorough, tailored training and loads of development opportunities. We promote on merit and there’s no glass ceiling.

Most people join us as Customer Representatives
You’ll learn how to welcome our customers into the branch, deal with all their day-to-day needs and identify sales leads. One day you could be manning the counters, the next, greeting customers and the next, behind a desk showing customers the different ways we can help them. As your experience grows, so will your responsibilities. Before long, you’ll be opening accounts, selling products and hitting targets.

Then they become Customer Consultants
Selling most of our products – everything from credit cards and loans to savings accounts and insurance – you’ll build strong relationships, meet achievable targets and generate leads. But not only will our customers profit from your knowledge and experience. So will our Customer Representatives. For you’ll also be responsible for coaching them on how to generate leads and follow in your footsteps.

From here there are many other roles to progress into.

  • Senior Customer Consultant
  • Customer Service Manager
  • Financial Consultant (more specialised, although you can certainly work your way up)
  • Branch Manager
  • Area Sales Manager
  • District Sales Manager
  • Area Director
