Customer Service Adviser – Mortgage Administration
This detailed, time-sensitive work involves assessing and processing mortgage applications passed through from the branches. You’ll assess the application against set criteria, collect essential information like pay slips and proof of ID, keep a close eye on progress and make sure we meet our customers’ deadlines.
We’re the second largest mortgage lender in the UK – and that means a lot of new mortgage applications every working day. Taking ownership of your own caseload of applications, you’ll make sure they’re all processed efficiently and in time to meet our customers’ deadlines. It involves checking each one against key criteria, chasing and assessing essential information like pay slips and proof of ID, and keeping a close eye on progress.
Mortgage applications can be life-changing. If they’re not successful or glitch-free, emotions can run high. So as well as having fast, accurate keyboard skills and being good at prioritising and multi-tasking, you’ll need the assertiveness and tact to handle customers who may be frustrated when an application is declined. If you also have what it takes to build strong working relationships with the branches that refer the applications, you’ll go far.
