Branch Manager
When you take charge of one of our branches, you take responsibility for everything: leading people, driving sales, hitting targets, meeting standards, auditing our performance against FSA regulations – and, of course, keeping customers happy.
So you’ll need to cut an inspirational figure and have the kind of knowledge and experience others can learn from. That means being out in the banking hall, leading by example most of the time – not shut away in your office. You’ll make sure your staff are thoroughly trained, able to perform at their best and well prepared to exceed their targets.
But it’s not just about ensuring everything runs smoothly day to day. It’s also about thinking and planning ahead. Succession planning, monitoring and analysing branch activity to spot business development opportunities, introducing productive initiatives – all will be down to you. You’ll need to be flexible, versatile and able to prioritise effectively if you’re to cope with ever-changing demands. Broad shoulders and a quick brain will come in useful too.
