Senior Financial Consultant

No hard sell. No rush for commission. A Senior Financial Consultant’s role at Nationwide is certainly different. The focus is on exceeding targets by building an open, honest relationship with customers and making profits without compromising integrity. It’s refreshing – and it attracts a generous basic salary plus an uncapped, performance-related bonus.

Branch-based SFCs work in our larger branches where there’s enough business to keep them busy all day. Mobile SFCs cover two or three smaller branches and may well visit customers in the evenings. As a result, they get a company car and a slightly higher basic salary. In both cases, sales leads tend to come from Customer Account Managers , and Financial Consultants/Mortgage Consultants although we’d expect you to generate some leads yourself through the strength of your relationships with customers.

If you’re branch-based, you’ll need to be a real team-player. If you’re out and about visiting customers in their homes, you’ll need to be well organised with plenty of drive. Either way you’ll have an enviable portfolio of high quality products at your fingertips – many of them award-winning.

You'll advise on our full product range: from ISAs and Unit Trusts to Pensions and Life Insurance as well as all the standard Nationwide offerings. If you've never worked in financial services before, we'll give you full training. And we’ll support you to study for a financial qualification in your own time, so you'll be even better placed to give customers the best possible advice.
