Shifts & hours

Right behind the branch
The Swansea contact centre is different from other contact centres in that it takes calls that come in for Nationwide branches. Calls to branches throughout the UK are redirected to us and we handle queries, book appointments and act as the branch back office.

That means our working hours reflect our branch opening hours.

  • 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
  • 9.00am to 12.30pm Saturday
  • Closed Sundays and Bank Holidays

Typical shifts

You’ll need to be happy to work flexible eight-hour shifts. We work out the shifts a week in advance and you can swap shifts if you need to.

  • 8:30am – 4:30pm weekdays
  • 9.00am – 5.00pm weekdays
  • 9.30am – 5.30pm weekdays
  • You’ll also work every other Saturday (on weeks when you work a Saturday, you get time off in the week)

As well as a lunch break, you’ll have a 10 minute break in the morning and another in the afternoon too.

Customer-focused, whatever your hours

The work is all about people, not paperwork. So you’ll spend 90% of your time on the phone talking to customers and complete your admin on a computer. You can work full-time or part-time.

Full-time is 35 hours per week
Part-time is at least 16 hours per week
Overtime is sometimes available for those who’d like it
