How much will I be paid?
If you’re applying for one of the graduate opportunities, your starting salary will be £24,000. If you’re on one of our Industrial Placement Programmes, or on a Summer Internship you’ll earn £16,000 pro rata.

If I am successful, when will I start work with Nationwide?
For those applying for the Graduate opportunities, the start date will be from June 2010 till September 2010, depending on business area need.
For Industrial Placements and Summer internships, will be June/July 2010.

Can I apply to more than one of the roles?
No. Each specific role offers very different opportunities and it's therefore unlikely that more than one would suit your career preferences.

Will Nationwide apply for a work permit for me?
Can I apply from outside the UK?
I need a work permit for the UK / I don't have a work permit.
Although we are not a sponsor of work permits, we do accept applications from candidates who already hold, or require a work permit. Before you start with us, you must be eligible to work in the UK and are responsible for obtaining your own work permit.

How long will the Industrial Placements and Summer Internships last?
Industrial Placements typically last for 12 months.
Summer internships last for 8-14 weeks.

You will get support from your manager, and on-the-job coaching, together with support from a mentor.

Where am I likely to be based?
Your location will depend on the business area you join, you may be asked to move locations depending on your placements. Our Summer internships are based in Northampton.

Yes, we will refund any reasonable expenses up to the maximum of £50.00, so hang on to your receipts.

What qualifications do I need to apply?
Candidates must have a 2:1 degree in any discipline and 260 UCAS points (excluding General Studies) or the equivalent.
