Treasury industrial placements
For students whose courses require a year out in industry, we offer a twelve month industrial placement in our Treasury Division based in Northampton.Treasury is an exciting and demanding area of the business, providing funding and liquidity for the Nationwide group as well as managing balance sheet risk and substantial investment portfolios. We deal in a range of financial instruments including deposits, securities and derivatives - in sterling and other currencies.
The placement will typically involve three different business attachments over the course of the year, spending time in our dealing room and also in our control and support functions. You値l find it痴 a dynamic and challenging environment, where change is a part of everyday life.
The placement will help you develop skills which will prove useful for your degree studies and once you graduate - as well as help with your career choices.
To help you make the most of the experience, you値l be supported by a buddy and a mentor (who値l be a senior manager) as well as your line manager and team colleagues.
We値l pay you a competitive salary and you値l also be entitled to 2 days holiday per month.
And what do we want from you?
You値l need 260 UCAS points and be expecting to achieve a 2.1 degree (in any discipline).
