Assessment Centre

    Our assessment centres are full day events that have two purposes. Firstly, they help us to decide if you are right for us, and secondly they help you to decide if we are right for you.


    We will assess you in a variety of methods; you will have an individual interview, an individual presentation, there will be a short case study to complete and there will be a number of group activites and exercises. The day normally lasts from nine until five, and we will provide you with tea and coffee breaks and lunch.

    A few tips to help you through the day;



    • Be confident. You have got to the assessment centre because we saw potential in you during your interview.

    • Be yourself. We look for many different types of people for each role.

    • You wont need any specific banking knowledge, although do your research - it will help you to understand the organisation, the role and what may be required of you.

    • Use the tools available to you. Browse our internet site and listen to what our existing graduates have to say. It will help to understand the business area you are applying for.

    • Don't look for hidden agendas. We'll give you a clear brief at the beginning of each activity so that you can have the best chance to show us what you're capable of.

    • We are looking for the right people for our organisaton. If there are three people we like and only two spaces, we will take all three of you.

    • Get involved, this is your opportunity to have your say and to shine.

    • We will assess your performance throughout the day, there may be some areas that you are better at than others, but try your best and get involved in everything, we can only assess what we see and not what you may have done.

    • Be aware of time limits.

    • Relax, enjoy the day and make the most of it!

    Following the assessment centre, we will try to get back to you within two weeks with a decision. We will also be able to provide you feedback.
