Join us here and you’d probably learn the ropes by organising and running our AGM and Member Talkback events. (These are informal 'Question Time' style events that give members a chance to have their say and put questions to a Nationwide director. Many of the improvements we've made to our products and services have come about as a result.) After a couple of years you’d be ready to move on and up. However when people join they tend to stay so staff turnover is low and we rarely need to recruit externally.


Who we look for

People with strong organisational and communication skills plus plenty of self motivation and an eye for detail.


The career prospects

Everyone who’s started out in event management has moved on to bigger and better things within Nationwide. The job allows you to raise your profile through direct contact with senior managers and gain a broad understanding of the business.


Where you’d work

We’re based at our Swindon Head Office but, as a fundamental part of the entry-level job is managing events around the UK, you’d spend about a day each month out of the office. We hold the events in the evening so you’d need to be flexible about working hours.
