Currently based in Bournemouth and Sutton, the division will migrate to Bournemouth in its entirety by 2010. Between now and then we’ll be focusing on achieving ambitious growth targets while also uniting the business in one location without impacting the five star service that each brand currently delivers. We’re proud that UCB has already been awarded the Financial Adviser Five Star Service award. And we were prouder still when The Mortgage Works won both the prestigious Financial Adviser Five Star Service award and The Most Improved Mortgage Lender award at the 2007 Awards Ceremony in London.

How is Specialist Lending structured?
We’re a mortgage business, so we generally look for people who have mortgage-related experience. That said, there are many entry roles into the division for people without experience, who want to learn the business and who have certain key qualities. In particular, you’ll be:
Specialist Lending is a thriving, energetic business which is growing and changing. What’s more, the entire sales and service lifecycle is managed within the division. So it’s able to offer a wide diversity of roles. You can progress both within and across different departments and into Intermediary Markets which is also based in Bournemouth. Add the fact that there’s an extensive branch network in the area and you can see how we can offer many opportunities in the local area. Many of the skills you’ll gain while working in Specialist Lending are transferable to other divisions in the business. So if you’re ready to be mobile, you could go far. We will all be based in Bournemouth over time but, as you’d expect, salespeople travel extensively throughout their sales area.
