About Information Management at Nationwide
Information Management is about ensuring our information is reliable, understood and provided in a way that enables the business to make critical decisions and operate within our regulatory responsibilities.
Split into five areas (Demand Management, Data Care, Information Exploitation, Operations and Risk) it covers the entire information lifecycle from understanding business process and the operational systems where data is captured, though integration and effective storage and into reporting and analytics platforms.
Across this lifecycle there is a need for governance and control, driving reuse, data quality and a single version of the truth. The team has significant focus on business engagement, understanding long term goals, priorities and current requirements, and in addition, driving data governance within the business through ownership and stewardship.
Whether working in driving the information agenda on our largest corporate programmes, or working with an individual employee helping them to drive better insight from information at their fingertips, the team has an ethos of driving a step change in how the business thinks about, cares for, and drives value from Information.
About IM Operations team
The IM Operations team looks after the integrity, timeliness, and accuracy of our key data sources and ensures operational excellence in the day to day reporting that is produced from those sources and consumed across the entire business. Responsible for information that spans supporting decision making at board level, ensuring regulatory compliance with external bodies, right through to driving day to day performance of front line employees, the role of the team is broad, challenging, and high profile.
By driving a Shared Services strategy and implementation we have a significant role to play in supporting the ongoing development of the business by looking for opportunities to streamline and centralise data and reporting tasks, freeing up business areas across the organisation to focus their energies on interpreting information and providing valuable business context.
