Can you describe what your area of the business does?

On my actual team in our area I deal with a lot of financial reconciliation. Reconciling cheques. There's also other teams in our department that deal with sending swift transfers to overseas, clearing cheques and also transferring of bank accounts.

How long have you been in your current role?

I have been in my current role for about a month now. I have just changed teams, but I was in my previous team for about two and a half years.

How do you see your future at Nationwide?

I see my future at Nationwide basically staying in the same department for a while, developing myself and trying to strive myself further.

What support and training have you had since joining?

The support and training I've had since I joined, we have a lot of one-to-ones with our Managers and our Supervisors and also a lot of on the job training. I have been on a few courses; 3C's telephone communication course, trying to help us out with our telephone communication and also a write with PRIDE, dealing with writing for complaints.

What is your working environment like?

The work environment is great. I work with a lot of chilled out and relaxed people, but we still do a challenging job. Another great thing is also the good facilities in the building. We have a gym, hairdressers and also a great restaurant.

What is the social life like at Nationwide?

The social life here is really great. I've met a lot of friends since I have been here. We do a lot of team nights out, department `do's. We have a designated Christmas do every year, it’s really good fun.

Has working at Nationwide turned out as you expected, and if not, how has it differed?

It has turned out as I expected. It’s been really great and I just want to strive myself further and just stay with Nationwide.
