Although Commercial also has offices in London and Manchester, most of our openings are at our Northampton Head Office. Bright, spacious and based in Moulton Park, it boasts exceptional facilities – including an on-site gym, a hair and beauty salon and an internet café.

But probably the best thing about working for us in Northampton is the county itself. With its bustling towns, beautiful villages and stunning countryside, it offers plenty to see and do. All the county’s main towns offer a great variety of cinemas, pubs, clubs, restaurants and high street shopping. And if you’re after your own version of the good life, you’ll be inspired by the many local farmers markets held in villages across the county. In fact the biggest market square in England is in Northampton.

Yet all of this is linked to the rest of the country by an exceptional transport infrastructure. London is less than an hour away by train, about an hour and a half if you’re driving. While it’s only 50 or so miles to Birmingham.

A sports fan? Then you’ll probably know that Northampton is the home of Northampton Saints rugby club. But you may not realise it also has:

• a major county cricket club
• a golf club that’s hosted the British Masters
• a white-water course for canoes, kayaks and rafts
• a swimming club that’s trained a current Olympic swimmer
• a leading stock car racing venue
• plus numerous sports and leisure facilities, including football, golf, sailing and Formula 1, all within easy reach.

House prices are just below the national average – and almost half the average for London. Welcome news if you’re moving here from outside the county. Choose from traditional town houses to modern barn conversions and everything in between. And with more than its fair share of private and state sector schools, well-respected adult education centres and higher education courses at the University of Northampton, Northamptonshire scores highly on that front too.
