Joining a team of nine (including you) you’ll be part of the Capital Management division. Capital Management makes sure we use our assets (savings deposits, mortgages, or investments) in a way that meets our regulatory requirements (as outlined by Basel, Solvency policy). This work makes sure that Nationwide is a healthy business whilst also maintaining market confidence in our financial strength.

In this role you’ll be: gathering and checking the data we use for capital reporting; working with various business areas to check the location and recording process of data; creating monthly management information (MI) for the capital reporting process; making sure our Axiom system produces accurate reports; influencing the redesign and automation of the reporting process.

This opportunity gives you a holistic view of our business and its £190bn of assets, producing MI that is reviewed at a senior management level. You’ll also gain experience working with our new regulatory reporting system (Axiom), working with various business areas to improve processes and understanding how Nationwide schedules the reporting process to meet the needs of our regulators.

Based in a contact centre environment, as part of our collections team you will play a pivotal role when it comes to supporting our members when they need it most and minimising risk to the business. It’s different simply as we are not driven by scripts or standard calls, you will be speaking with our members who have payment arrears to understand their financial circumstances and recommending effective repayment plans to ensure their finances stay on track.

  • £15,000 starting salary rising to £16,993 after completion on the 6 month probation period
  • Generous monthly incentive scheme of up to a potential £500 a month on top of your base salary
  • Full Time (35 hours per week), working varied shifts between 8.00am to 8.00pm plus alternate Saturdays 9am-12pm with time back in lieu during the week when you work a Saturday
