Group Security Services
We have big aspirations as a business and with that comes a diverse set of Security roles.
Policy and Standards - For a company selling mortgages we know the importance of good foundations. Governance, risk and control may not be glamorous but we understand the importance this subject brings to our business. We have plenty to cover as well from FSA guidelines to Payment schemes as well as Industry standards such as ISO27001/2.
Physical Security - We proactively ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the personal safety at all times of customers, employees and visitors and the protection of its buildings and data. We have a diverse property portfolio that requires security solutions around the clock. You think you have seen it all, that is until someone fills up an ATM with gas on a petrol forecourt and ignites it.
Consultancy - In a successful business like ours nothing stands still for long and with change comes an ever growing need for security advice. Our portfolio is truly diverse it could be wearable technologies one day and the replacement of a savings platforms the next.
IT Security - With a substantial estate, ensuring that the security for our systems is effective and up to date, alongside proactively heading off new issues to prevent vulnerabilities from emerging involves working right across the business on a hugely varied set of challenges.
Cyber Security - We monitor, detect and respond to security incidents, including those where criminals and other attackers target our network in an attempt to steal information or cause a nuisance. As a major financial sector firm we have to protect ourselves and play our part in protecting the financial services industry.
3rd Party Management - With a substantial supplier base we need to ensure our partners are upholding our high standards of security. From contractual clauses and pre-contractual vetting to ongoing relationship management and governance.
Data Privacy - the customer is at the centre of everything we do. It is therefore essential that we do our utmost to ensure we manage their data, in particular its security, in accordance with all relevant legislation and regulation. Data privacy is the responsibility of every employee and we work hard to ensure a security conscious culture operates across the organisation, at all levels.
Business Continuity - as a business that operates 24x7x365 in this always on digital age, it is crucial that Nationwide has the highest possible availability on the services that we offer to our customers despite a whole range of disruptions that can occur. We therefore put a great deal into our continuity planning and incident management capability.
Testing - Our primary purpose is to provide constructive challenge to management on the effectiveness of control, helping them to drive improvement in these areas. Variety is the spice of life; we have a broad scope and you'll have the opportunity to work across a range of business areas and security domains. Our testing is not a tick box exercise. It's about providing insightful views and helping the business improve.
Let's be honest. It's a pressured, fast paced environment. So we need experienced, tenacious people that have the skills, knowledge and behaviours required to be successful.
Good people are valued and your contribution and performance will be appropriately rewarded. We provide structured development programmes for staff at all levels, and the breadth of roles on offer across the division mean that it is easy to plan and support your progression.
We are looking for dedicated people to join our teams to support our journey; your ability to put the customer first will give our business the strength to remain an industry leader. And will help bring the Nationwide experience to life for our members.
Ultimately we aim to do the right thing for our members, and that sets us apart from our competitors. But we need good people to help us do it. People who understand what we believe in. And have the talent and drive to keep us successful.
