What our technical teams do 

Simply put, our Technical Practice teams design & deliver high quality technical specifications and solutions across all business areas. We work across 5 key areas; Mortgage, Payments & Operations, Retail Products, Digital & Distribution, Group Functions and Technical Infrastructure.

With great customer outcomes at the forefront of everything we do, we understand the repercussions of not maintaining our core technology functions for our customers. We also know that to stay ahead, we need to adapt to offer customers a range of ways to bank.  

This means maintaining our branch network and existing legacy systems, while at the same time staying equipped to deliver the next generation of banking. 

What can you expect from a technical career?

Day to day, our teams are responsible for turning business needs into practical, creative and technical solutions across multiple channels. 

1. Work with the business to understand their requirements and outline architectures.
2. We design the functional and technical solutions.
3. Once designed, we work with our chosen partners to develop the systems.

Throughout this process we're responsible for the end to end design and technical assurance.

To do this, we rely on our extensive technical, application and system knowledge. It's a challenging place to work, but one which thrives on collaboration and the ability to spot future trends.

What are our goals?

We're one of the few organisations to build our middleware solutions from scratch, but we care just as much about the creativity and flair of what we deliver. You'll need to be passionate about the latest technology, including those we've already landed: Apple pay, mobile banking and internet banking to name a few.
