Our advisers continue to thrive in the post-RDR world. We've won awards for the quality of our service and advice.

Our aim is to offer a financial planning and advice service that's unrivalled amongst our bank and building society competitors, both for the quality of advice we offer and for the range and performance of our products. As a result, we should be the customers' first choice for financial planning - the one place they can go to, to truly maximise their life-long financial well-being.

We think we have a fantastic offering. Thanks to our partnerships with Cofunds and Legal & General.

Where will I be based?

Based in one of our branches, you'll work closely with your colleagues to identify customers' needs, offering honest, tailored advice that will help you build long-term relationships. And if you're positive, determined and good at spotting opportunities, you'll soon be making the most of an impressive reward package that reflects the quality of the service you provide to customers.  All while enjoying a role that's crucial to our future profitability as the world's leading mutual building society.

Our advisers continue to thrive in the post-RDR world.  We've won awards for the quality of our service and advice - the most recent being for our Annuities service which collected the "Financial Innovations Award 2012". So it's not surprising that we're one of the most trusted financial services brands around with 15 million customers and counting.

Meet our people

Vivien
"I am so proud to have worked for Nationwide for the last 22 years - they completely understand what it is to care for customers.

I love being a Financial Planning Manager as I get to meet everyday people and make massive differences to their lives. Spending a couple of hours in a first appointment with customers shows  the sort of rapport we build and fun we get from our work.  As important though is the relationship with the branches - the secret to my success! Team relationships are essential. And giving back to the team means you'll reap the rewards. Simple but true.

What's more, as earning potential is matched to the effort you put in and the behaviours you demonstrate, the sky's the limit.

If you want to join a company that loves their customers, listens to and rewards their people - then Nationwide is the place for you."

Matt
"Nationwide was my first employer on finishing my A levels. Having worked in so many different roles in the branch network and the call centre in Swindon, it was the diversity and opportunities that you can find (if you are willing to be flexible and committed) that attracted me to Nationwide.

A two-way relationship with the branches is vital to success; if you support them with coaching and development they will reward you with good quality referrals.  However there is also a wide availability of resources to actively self generate business as well.

In addition the range of products we have available, the support you can expect is second to none. The fact that you have the Nationwide brand behind you means you'll benefit from security and a competitive edge.

You need to be equally consistent across service, training, feedback and compliance as well as deliver great customer outcomes to be successful.  When it all comes together, the fact that you can help make a real difference to customer's lives by protecting them and safeguarding their futures, makes all your efforts worthwhile".
