Grow, learn and develop

Moving money is central to Nationwide's business so you'll work with stakeholders across the full lifecycle of transactions, influencing business strategy, product offerings, digital channels and distribution.

Your placements will give you experience of the commercial and technical side of payments. In Service & Strategy, you'll see how we run a day-to-day payment service and how the payments industry works, engaging and managing suppliers to provide always-on functionality. You'll learn how the different authorities and regulators oversee what we do too.

In Operations, you'll get hands-on with how we process payments, handle complaints and help members send and receive payments. You'll manage an operational team, ensuring agreed service levels are met daily.

If data, reporting and insight appeals to you, you'll enjoy your time with the Business Management team producing forecasts and MI that give an invaluable insight into our payment services as well as delivering critical regulatory reports.

If tech is your thing, there are placement opportunities in Delivery and Business Design, helping develop our services now and for the future.

In all placements, your good communications skills and ability to build strong, trusted working relationships will be honed as you advise and influence internal and external stakeholders. Payments is a fast-paced environment and we'll work with you to develop your technical, managerial and business skills. Resilience is also key when your dealing with a live incident or ensuring the safety of our members money.
