Description

The Resourcing Operations Team are responsible for all recurrent administrative & operational tasks for the wider resourcing function as well as on boarding and recruitment activities associated with our contingent workers.

Our customers, colleagues and stakeholders are society wide and include the Recruitment & Supplier Management teams, our recruitment partners, candidates, workers and hiring managers. We make sure that all Contingent Workers are able to start work and access our systems compliantly and on time.

We support our temporary workers and managers on their journey from formal offer and throughout their tenure at Nationwide (including Temp to Permanent T2P, and/or exit). We remain versatile and continually improve with efficiencies that benefit customers, colleagues and stakeholders.

As part of a highly valued and supportive team, during this 12 month fixed term contract you will take the lead on planning, prioritising and at times handling a busy operational workload centred around some key recruitment activity.

What you’ll be doing

Within this role, you will be responsible for Contingent worker on boarding and ongoing relationship management with workers and hirers, in doing so you will engage in 3rd party supplier engagement/oversight and regular internal stakeholder engagement ensuring that processes are adhered to by our team and our internal customers.

Supervision and coaching of team members to ensure capacity balance and versatility growth will be required while also deputising for Operational Improvement Manager

A working day will also consist of Investigation and resolution of escalations from our internal customers (business users, hirers, and workers), Quality Assurance on critical activities such as offers, contracts and payroll process, being involved in Risk and controls oversight (inc. RAID log, Right To Work, Contract offers and change tracking) and contributing to Continuous Improvement activity.

About you

  • Full understanding and subject matter expertise of contingent workers and processes (Temporary, Statement of Work and Day Rate Contractors)
  • Demonstrable experience of complaints/conflict resolution, ability to mediate and reach fair outcomes.
  • Experience of capacity/work allocation or similar in a small team with ever-changing priorities and firm deadlines while owning excellent organisational and task management skills yourself
  • Stakeholder management at a strategic level (more than operational)
  • To know how to drive good outcomes from 3rd party suppliers.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills both in written and verbal formats.
  • To present and report both internally and externally with confidence using MS Office suite
  • To act with professionalism and integrity to manage confidential, challenging and sensitive situations
  • Experience in either a recruitment or HR/people operations environment
