We’re currently looking for a Lead Business Analyst to work with us within our Central Functions - Finance team. The team is responsible for compliance with key regulatory requirements such as Basel 3.1 and PRA110 and ensuring that our IT systems provide the capabilities required by Finance & Treasury.
As a Lead Business Analyst you will be responsible for designing and delivering business solutions which add significant value, achieve business success and help us to meet our statutory & regulatory obligations. We’re looking for a candidate who is proactive, motivated, with strong leadership skills and drive for quality.
You will be supporting our Finance Product Owners in defining a prioritised business value driven roadmap of change. You will be accountable for the scoping, shaping and analysis approach, defining outcomes and priorities, translating business needs into relevant deliverables and providing insightful analysis and design expertise to ensure successful completion of OKRs.

What you’ll be doing
You will be leading analysis on one of our prioritised initiatives supporting our Product Owners with shaping & defining the scope and measurable outcomes. Working in partnership with other change roles you will ensure the full breadth of change is understood and the design meets the need, dependencies are identified and required insight & metrics incorporated.
With relevant experience under your belt, you’ll be using your business analysis or solution design knowledge to identify solutions that achieve the best business outcome, influencing technology & business resolutions with confidence and innovation taking into account any external factors and dependencies.
You will lead a team of Business Analysts ensuring that their work is estimated, scheduled, prioritised and meets quality expectations. You will use your strong communication skills to engage with diverse change team participants and establish influencing relationships with business stakeholders and the leadership team.
You’ll be using your own initiative in this role and required to work with a pro-active mindset and an aim to identify, escalate and resolve issues/risks. As a Lead Business Analyst, you’ll strive for continuous development in your work and the work of your team, identifying areas for improvement throughout the lifecycle of an initiative.
About you
We ask that you have:
- Extensive experience of working within a business analysis or solution design role, on complex, cross-functional initiatives with the ability to lead a team of people, preferably within financial services.
- A conceptual, lateral thinker with excellent insight in defining business outcomes and requirements within a Finance environment with the ability to analyse and problem-solve to determine solutions.
- Knowledge in business solution/analysis techniques, tools, and methods with a strong understanding of their purpose, fit and relevance when initiating developments.
- A strong understanding of the role of demonstrable compliance and governance within a rapid delivery environment.
- Detailed understanding of and ability to accommodate and blend the differing needs of multi-disciplined teams, consisting of internal and external resources e.g. Third-party suppliers, remote colleagues and contractors.
- The ability to confidently communicate; with the ability to present information to senior stakeholders and design forums and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong leadership skills with a proven experience of leading a team
- A fundamental understanding of Finance function, processes and technologies
