A fantastic opportunity has become available to play a key role as Marketing Planning Manager in the Marketing Planning Centre of Excellence Team.

To support this ambition, we’re looking for a Marketing Planning Manager to join our Planning Centre of Excellence as a key member of the Personalisation & Performance Marketing Team.

This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate join a team that sets the standards for excellence in Marketing Planning, through the provision of frameworks for forecasting, performance reporting and evaluation and comprehensive training designed to empower our community of squad aligned Marketing Planners.

We actively seek people from a variety of backgrounds and specifically, technical capability in areas such as performance data analysis, reporting tools & methodologies and shaping recommendations.

What you’ll be doing

The role requires marketing, planning and engagement expertise, business and commercial acumen, stakeholder management capability, strong interpersonal and communication skills, data, and insight analytical capability.

Working closely with the Planning Centre of Excellence Senior Manager, you will;

  • Support with effective forecasting & reporting training, frameworks and guidance so that the squads have what they need to effectively plan activity.
  • Have a keen eye for detail, supporting the Senior Manager in overseeing the holistic marketing plans and holding the pen for the overarching view of all marketing plans, ensuring no-duplication/link up where required & support on understanding resource across the flow teams.
  • Work with key stakeholders across Marketing including Strategy & Insights, Transformation & Ops, Member Propositions & Sustainability, Brand Marketing & Experience and also Marketing Controls & Governance to understand any programmes that touch the Planning & Partnering Team.
  • Be part of our Marketing community, and work closely with other teams, including our Marketing Effectiveness and Creative Centre of Excellence and Squads.

About you

  • Have experience of marketing and planning
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management skills to support important partnerships internally & externally with the aim of supporting and evolving our planning approach.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and juggle your work to support the team with time critical tasks.
  • An innovative and proactive mind set, with a passion to look at new ways of doing things and how processes can be shaped and improved.
  • An excellent eye for detail to support and ensure holistic plans are balanced and can be supported by the wider marketing community.
  • A team player who would work effectively with Senior managers and other members of the Customer, Brand & Engagement community.
  • You thrive on working in a positive ‘can-do’ team with a proactive approach to your work and engagement with colleagues.
  • You will have a ‘member first’ mindset, always looking at how we can evolve our customer experience through our marketing and planning.
  • Be an advanced user of Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint, harnessing the ability to ‘Story tell’ to a wider audience.
