Introduction

Technology Development Programme – Industrial Placement

  • Location: Swindon, Head Office
  • Salary: £17,682 annually, plus performance based bonus and employee benefits
  • Fixed Term Contract, full time, working 35-hours per week
  • Start date: September 2019

The TDP Industrial Placement can give you the edge you need when applying for work. Spend one academic year with us as a full-time employee before returning to university for your final year, and we’ll give you the technical and business skills you need for a successful career after graduating.

You’ll get first-hand experience of life in tech and understand what it takes to thrive in a professional environment. So, if you’re a go-getter, ambitious and full of curiosity, we’re recruiting in Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data and Analytics, Infrastructure Development and IT Operations

Who we're looking for

You’ll be a quick learner, inquisitive and solution focused, with the tenacity to bring your solutions to life. You’ll have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships. And you’ll be familiar with all the apps and devices that make the digital world go round.

You’ll do well in the TDP Industrial Placement if you have:

  • Studied for a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths)
  • A keen interest in computer science and information systems
  • Drive to learn and improve and are looking for a challenge

What you'll be doing

We’ll work with you to find the best area suited to your skills, interests and potential. You could be:

  • Dealing with the Cyber Security opportunities and challenges presented by Open Banking, Cloud-based services and new technologies
  • Enhancing user experience, dealing with live incidents and supporting ongoing innovation in Software Engineering
  • Working with Data and Analytics, which underpins our refreshed strategy and represents an important opportunity for continued growth
  • Improving your coding skills or learning from scratch in order to continually improve our service and build new applications
