Introduction

We need:
• A Programme Manager
• This is a 6 month fixed term contract
• The role is preferred to be based in Swindon but we would consider applications from anyone based in another site if some travel could be accommodated
• Salary range £54,231 - £88,126 (dependent on current remuneration package, skills & experience) plus car (or cash allowance of £4,656), based on a 35-hour week contract

We are looking for a Programme Manager for a 6 month secondment within the Data and Analytics Community (D&A). Our D&A Change teams have the exciting challenge of managing the Community’s transformation agenda.

The vacancy has arisen to lead the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Programme. The Programme is charged with the ongoing improvement of Nationwide’s compliance position against the regulation, through facilitating deletion activity across the organisation, enhancing known gaps and working with all business areas and changes squads to ensure GDPR requirements are adhered to by all transformation activities.

Who we're looking for

As an existing leader within Nationwide you will be someone who can demonstrate experience leading high performing teams, engaging with senior stakeholders across the organisation and enabling good decisions through your understanding of how change is delivered in Nationwide and what’s needed to ensure the best outcome for the society. You are confident dealing with both internal and external suppliers demonstrating excellent networking skills, are highly regarded by your teams / peers and are genuinely enthusiastic about Nationwides role in the industry.

We are looking for an experienced practitioner, you will be expected to immediately add value in the role by utilising your:
• Extensive project/programme management experience, including budget management
• Expertise in project/programme management methodologies – Waterfall and Agile
• Experience in developing and managing executive stakeholder and business relationships
• Proven experience of building and managing high performing teams

Ideal but not essentials domain specific experience includes:
• Awareness of Nationwide’s Data and Analytics strategy and current impacting legislation
• Experience and understanding of our Data and Analytics tools
• Experience of implementing changes to functionality both at a technical and business change level
• Experience of working with external vendors on industry standard platforms

What you'll be doing

You will be joining the D&A Change leadership team of one of the biggest areas of strategic investment during the 19/20FY, a £multi-million change portfolio delivering regulatory and discretionary outcomes to support the societies response to our Data and Analytics Strategy. You will support the Delivery Lead by:
• Shaping projects and programmes from inception
• Managing project/programme budgets and driving cost and delivery efficiencies through effective programme management
• Interacting with the sponsor of initiatives and the business where the initiative will be implemented
• Management of senior stakeholders, especially at a local community level to shape benefits
• Line Management, and management of performance and behaviour through regular 1 to 1s and performance reviews
• Leadership of a cross Matrix Team delivering complex changes on time; to budget and to meet Business outcomes/benefits
