Introduction

We need:
• Systems Configuration Analyst based in our Northampton Administration Centre
• £23,574 to £34,051 per annum dependent on current banding and experience
• On a Permanent 35 hour contract

As a Systems Configuration Analyst you will support the wide variety of system used across our complaints operations acting as subject matter expert to provide support, guidance and advice, as well as helping to drive forward our change model.

Who we're looking for

As a minimum requirement, you’ll have:
• Experience in systems configuration
• Good communication skills and a customer focussed approach
• The ability to recognise requirements, separating the needs from the wants
• Strong technical skills across a wide variety of core systems/practices (i.e. Word, Excel, SQL, Access, VBA etc)
• The ability to identify the need for key controls and ensure no changes are made without proper authority
• The ability to work as part of a team as well as individually, with a clear understanding of the role across the entire process
• Systematic, disciplined and analytical problem-solving techniques and the ability to challenge colleagues of all levels
• Experience in dealing with suppliers / clients / users
• A high degree of intelligence, flexibility, energy and credibility
• Show a desire for continuous improvement, and be keen to assess success or failure, to work with the team to learn from mistakes
• A desire to partner with other operational areas to jointly seek improvements in controlling changes to core system configuration
It would be nice if you also had:
• Knowledge of the complaints process
• Experience of system test/testing qualifications

What you'll be doing

• Maintaining our complaint systems
• Providing system administration to ensure the correct degrees of access and security
• Creating, developing and maintaining system configuration to support complaint processes, including the production of all configuration documentation
• Act as super user for all business area led systems.
• Manage feedback systems so queries from the complaints community are logged and effectively dealt with
• As part of a wider implementation team, assist with the delivery of system upgrades and improvements
• Analysis of business/regulatory requirements
• Utilising problem-solving methods to produce design solutions to meet system change requirements
• Provide specialist advice and support on technology related issues for key projects within Complaint Operations
• Design and carry out structured testing within both Systems Testing and User Acceptance Testing phases of a delivery
• Identify key risks and controls for configuration management and recommend ways in which improvements can be made to reduce risks
