You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering end-to-end enterprise-wide supply chain risk and management capability.
We’re looking for a supply chain risk manager to provide a combination of subject matter expertise and risk management skills. The successful individual will help the Society to manage suppliers by supporting the operation and evolution of supplier risk management and the resulting risk frameworks.
Who we're looking for
You will bring experience of working closely with suppliers, either in a sourcing and supplier management environment and/or in a business capacity and have strong risk management experience.
You will be an effective communicator, who excels at influencing others and building good relationships. You will also be agile and thrive within a challenging and continuously improving environment.
As a minimum requirement you’ll have:
- Ability to influence at all levels within a large organisation
- Experience in developing and implementing supplier risk management capabilities
- Proven track record in delivery of key projects/activities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience of working within a Financial Services organisation and good knowledge of the financial regulatory environment would be beneficial.
What you'll be doing
You’ll help to shape and develop the Society’s framework for managing supplier risks by contributing to the development of strategy, frameworks, capability and governance.
You will also support compliance with relevant regulations, helping to respond to regulatory requests and ensuring that the risk framework adapts to meet emerging concerns such as Cloud Outsourcing, Supply Chain Resilience including fourth parties.
You’ll provide subject matter advice, risk insight and ‘best practice’ guidance to the business regarding 3rd party risk and control management across the full range of risk categories as they relate to the supply chains in Financial Services.
You will proactively partner with the Society’s business areas and will review and constantly challenge the business risks to ensure they reflect a fair and objective view – and are in line with wider business objectives. You may undertake testing of controls and provide assurance that procurement and supplier management are undertaken robustly.
