Job description

We need:

• An Operational Effectiveness Senior Consultant in our head offices in Swindon
• Salary £42,370 - £61,201 per year based on a 35 hour a week contract
• 12 months Fixed Term Contract

Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager, you will have a direct relationship with Finance and Efficiency senior managers and their direct reports to secure resource, manage delivery, and update on project progress.

Who we're looking for

A pro-active and experienced individual to be part of our central efficiency team, with previous experience in analysing and improving business processes.

As a minimum requirement you’ll:

· Have experience in the analysis of business processes to support operational efficiency
· Be able to clearly document existing as is processes and proposed new processes
· Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, across the organisation
· Be able to facilitate workshops to assist with understanding current, and future state, processes
· Be able to influence others around conflicting opinions and priorities
· Take ownership for the delivery of proposed changes.
· Be capable of leading a small group of individuals to design and implement process changes
· Be able to prioritise, plan, manage and deliver timely and effective CI projects

It would also be nice if you:

· Have a recognised improvement qualification (e.g. Lean / Six Sigma)
· Have accounting experience

What you'll be doing

You will be working with the teams across the community to review and understand their business processes, identify possible improvements, and work with them to implement these changes and measure the benefits.


Your key accountabilities will include:
· Using a variety of elicitation techniques (interviews, workshops etc), understand the current business processes to identify opportunities to improve efficiencies
· Working collaboratively with the business areas to develop a benefits case for initiatives
· Working on your own, or as part of a small team, develop the solutions and agree with key stakeholders an implementation plan
· Work collaboratively with the process automation team in F&E to support solutions that may require robotics
· Ensuring solutions are implemented in a robust and rigorous way
· Agreeing benefits with the key stakeholders once changes are implemented
· Being an advocate for efficiency across the community and supporting cross community initiatives to further enhance the culture of efficiency
