We now have an opportunity to join our financial reporting team, to help us drive efficiencies for the organisation. The team are close knit, friendly, dynamic and this role provides an opportunity to join a team that work with our regulators such as the Prudential Regulatory Authority and the bank of England.
- Senior Financial Accountant in Financial Reporting
• £42,370 - £61,201 a year (market anchor £47,078) on a 12 months fixed term contract.

Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone who enjoys problem solving, has great analytical skills and is well organised, inquisitive and has an appetite to challenge and improve existing processes.
As a minimum you’ll:
- Be a qualified Accountant with significant post qualification experience
- Have experience of Statutory reporting
Your past experience should include a background of working in a practice, auditing a range of companies, examining financial reports and making recommendations. Or you could be an individual who has worked at a large organisation with responsibility for producing complex financial reports.
It would be nice if you had experience in financial services but this is not essential.
What you'll be doing
This role sits within the Financial Reporting team and is a great opportunity to be part of a team delivering essential reporting to the Prudential Regulatory Authority and the Bank of England.
Your main focus will be to ensure our reporting is accurate and reliable, helping to maintain our strong relationship with the Regulators. You’ll support your senior managers by taking responsibility for understanding reported information as well as maintaining quality assurance and control.
Aside from your day to day responsibilities you’ll become a subject matter expert, able to explain complex reports and processes to a range of stakeholders. What’s more, by driving the efficiencies and improvements across the wider team, you’ll play an important part in the ongoing financial success of Nationwide and our strategic goals.
As a role model within the team you’ll oversee improvement activity and delivery through others, whilst following internal controls frameworks and performing quality reviews.
