Who we're looking for

As a Mainframe Systems Programmer you will have experience of supporting IBM z Systems hardware and z/OS infrastructure in a data sharing environment. Ideally this will include experience in the financial services industry.

You will have a good knowledge of z/OS and Parallel Sysplex.

You will have good TSO/ISPF, JCL and SMP/E skills and some experience of performance & capacity analysis.

The key experience that we require is in Netview, Systems Automation and GDPS. Any knowledge of SAP or IBM Tivoli Monitoring would be advantageous.

You must be a team player, ready and eager to bring these talents to a stimulating role.

What you'll be doing

It will be your job to support the z Systems infrastructure across the whole landscape of environments from development to production.

You will do this by planning and implementing upgrades, by monitoring system performance and tuning, and by carrying out a wide range of essential maintenance tasks. After a qualifying period, you will be expected to take part in an on-call support rota of approximately one week in four.

As a team we collaborate and work closely with our partners and the business to ensure releases, maintenance and upgrades are delivered on time, whilst protecting service and the customer experience.

As well as your salary, there’s life assurance, a pension and a recognition and rewards scheme. We think it’s a great place to work, and we’re not afraid of giving you praise when you’ve done well.
