We're looking for a customer focused professional working within the HR Contact Centre Team. This role will be accountable for delivering high quality and consistent HR advice and support to all employees and people managers in a way that improves their effectiveness day to day.
For the right person, this is an ideal opportunity to gain experience in the HR Shared Services environment as well as a major personal challenge to shape the role. You should ideally have a Customer Services background (either external or internal customers) as this will be important to fulfilling the role. Full training and coaching will be provided to learn the skills and knowledge required to provide HR advice. Who we're looking for
You're motivated to work in a service centre environment, handling high volumes of incoming calls. As someone who enjoys customer relationship building, there's no doubt you will have a great track record of quality customer service. You'll be entering employee lifecycle data from a variety of sources, in a timely and accurate manner, in systems such as PeopleSoft, so we'd like you to be confident in using computer applications.
As a Customer Service professional, you'll have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with people from different backgrounds and at all levels. You'll be dealing with sensitive situations, so there'll be a real need for you to be able to coach employees and managers. You'll be able to diagnose problems/issues whilst remaining calm under pressure and you'll have the ability to establish rapport by modifying language and tone to fit the listener.
As you'll be dealing with sometimes complex queries, you'll have the ability to analyse information from a variety of sources and prioritise actions appropriately and be able to provide suitable solutions based on information available, so it's without a doubt that you'll need good attention to detail.
What you'll be doing
As a key member within the HR People Services Team, you'll be required to deliver consistent, high quality professional HR advice and support to employees and line managers through a single point of access, and for this reason Customer Service experience is more important than HR knowledge.
You'll provide high quality, consistent HR advice, support and resolution to managers, employees and outside parties, within agreed parameters in order to maximise customer efficiency, effectiveness and confidence.
You'll be resolving day to day customer service enquiries, issues and complaints, escalating as appropriate, and deal with any service recovery. You'll also administer HR transactional activities associated with the employee lifecycle, across all business lines within agreed procedures, standards and timescales.
