Who we're looking for

As an industry recognised expert in automation of data engineering, you will provide both the strategic and technical direction to shape and implement data engineering automation across the Data & Analytics organisation.  Working closely with the Director for Data Solutions, the data engineering teams and the wider technology teams, you will build a capability that can deliver both agility and quality whilst responding to the rapidly changing technology landscape.  This will include the acceleration of the transformation of technology, skills, resource mix, ways of working, team structures and development of in-house automation expertise.

With the ability to engage, influence and advise at senior levels, you will be skilled at building consensus out of ambiguous priorities and demand requirements.  You will also value building collaborative relationships with strategic partners, academia and internal teams alike, recognising the demands of a rapidly changing technological landscape.  The resulting collaboration will ensure an effective concentrating of the organisation’s objectives to ensure all initiatives support the organisation in its current and future states.

What you'll be doing

The position will be the D&A organisation’s most senior presence at the London Technology Hub.  This greenfield site presents the opportunity to drive a radical approach to DataOps and automation, enhancing and expanding this capability. Through the extensive use of automation techniques, you will look to minimise effort and time to market whilst being able to adapt rapidly to the expect changes in analytics and data technology demands.

Working with genuinely talented people where profit is not only measure of success, this is an opportunity to be at the emerging edge of DataOps and data engineering automation.

As part of the recruitment process, we require you to submit a CV and covering letter supporting your application highlighting your relevant skills and experience.
