  • Data Incident Analysis Lead in Data & Analytics, Operational Data Incident Analysis Team
  • Location: Head Offices, Swindon
  • Salary: £50,840 - £73,436 + excellent benefits package, based on a 35-hour week perm contract

The Operational Data Incident Analysis team in the Data & Analytics community provides timely, responsive, insight and expert data knowledge to provide reassurance and auditable control for data incidents across the society. The outputs from the team are used by Incident teams to support incident resolution approach, implementation and where appropriate, remediation.  

The team is committed to satisfying the business demand at pace while remaining suitably governed for audit and compliance, ensuring confidence and integrity of output remains high across the society.



Who we're looking for

We’re looking for candidates that have excellent analytical, stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills, with the ability to work at pace to tight deadlines. You’ll demonstrate a strong willingness to learn, and a keenness to take ownership of tasks with senior exposure. 

As a minimum requirement you’ll:

  • Experience of operating in an incident management environment where you have taken subject matter leadership on the data topic
  • Extensive leadership experience of Senior Analysts within a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Highly influential, personally resilient, with exceptional written and verbal communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to provide highly-effective subject matter expertise to both internal and external stakeholders, and executive leaders, translating complex data findings to easily consumable stories that drive action
  • Track record of delivering comprehensive data analysis and root cause assessments in complex incident and/or analytical projects
  • Experience in technical and data coaching
  • Highly experienced SAS user (Base, Enterprise Guide) with strong knowledge of Financial Services data

What you'll be doing

As part of a high performing team that sits within our Business Intelligence, Visualisation and Reporting function, your focus will be shaping, leading and developing our newly forming Incident Analysis team to produce high quality insight, analysis and support to incident resolution. 

You will co-ordinate, manage and prioritise all incoming incident analysis work to ensure that the team deliver on agreements and provide executive level communication on progress and providing recommendations on next steps.  

You will attend relevant management committees, engage and lead on 3rd party requirements and resources while acting as the main point of contact for Oversight, Compliance, Internal and External Audit. 

You will lead and motivate a small team of analysts, remaining positive and focused ensuring delivery to tight timescales and deadlines. Your extensive technical competence will enable you to provide coaching and development while being able to deliver complex analysis as part of incident delivery.
