As an AWS Connect engineer you will be working in project teams designing, building and maintaining Amazon Connect within infrastructure to provide strong business solutions. You will be involved at all stages from design, build to the support of non-production environments.

Infrastructure Engineering provides the platform for all our key systems at NBS. Infrastructure Engineering designs and builds all infrastructure at NBS, as well as supporting the non-production environments used for development and testing. We also provide specialist guidance and advice to our change initiatives.

What you’ll be doing
Day-to-day you’ll be exploiting your experience of delivering first-class solutions in an Agile environment. You’ll be involved in mentoring where needed and help to build our development process and strategies. You’ll drive continuous improvements and promote best practice in your team through your actions and behaviours.
With the understanding of the end-to-end process from a technical perspective, you will work closely with the Technology Lead, helping to deliver solutions that meet their requirements.
You may be required to work oncall from time to time.
We want you to nurture and value proactive habits and to develop contacts and relationships, so things are done faster and more efficiently. We’ll expect you to get stuck in and have a go, knowing that sometimes to fail fast is to learn fast.
In this role, you’ll be working on a project building a new team to build, configure and support Amazon Connect as part of our IT Engineering team. You will provide strong technical expertise and be at the heart of shaping the new team and setting the strategic direction.
This is an exciting opportunity at the start of our journey to adapt to a cloud-based telephony system.
Using your SME knowledge, you will attend meetings, offer advice/consultancy build systems and work through problems to provide solid working solutions within the AWS Connect space. A key responsibility will be as the focal point of this new technology, the main point of contact for a range of stakeholders and seniority.
Have a proven track record in providing technical delivery through the design, build and implementation of AWS Connect.
The successful applicant will be AWS Certified to Associate level, though applications for those at Foundational Level will also be considered.
The applicant will have a proven track record in supporting, maintaining and configuring AWS Amazon Connect and its native features and languages and as a minimum:
• Connect Control Panel (CCP)
• Lex IVR
• Contact Lens
• You are product minded and have Agile Scrum team experience
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• You are open to learn new technologies, not afraid to experiment and passionate about building scalable systems
• You’ll be joining a new team and working on a project in its infancy, so you’ll need to be comfortable navigating ambiguous environments
