IT Engineering are looking for a Lead Engineer to join a cross-functional leadership team working within the area we call The Future of Legendary Service. You will lead on the Self Service aspect of this exciting evolution of our business. Helping to guide teams and uncover new technology and ways of working to provide legendary service to our members.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the Lead Engineer providing technical leadership in cloud native development with Kubernetes and microservices (go, dotnet core, nodejs).
Working primarily with IDP, preferably ForgeRock. Being the expert in this field and sharing your expertise with the team.

You’ll have an understanding of oAuth & OIDC flows, SAML, MFO, SSO & Fraud detection. Experience of Identity management including migration roadmap / execution is a bonus, as is knowledge of AuthZ with OPA and Rego policies.

You’ll be influencing strategy, helping create our roadmap and have a test and learn mindset – we don’t know all the right ways to do things yet, we’re looking for someone who can help us on that journey.

About you

About you

As a minimum requirement you will have experience of:

  • Cloud Native Development
  • Kubernetes
  • Microservices
  • IDP knowledge – preferably Forgerock
  • Understanding of oAuth and OIDC flows
  • SAML, MFO, SSO and Fraud detection.
  • Agile ways of working
  • Confluence/JIRA
  • Strong stakeholder management

It would be nice if you also had experience of:

  • VMWare
  • AuthZ with OPA and Rego policies
  • Identity management including migration
