This is a unique opportunity to step into a dynamic start-up environment within Nationwide. The Future Platform Team are developing a cloud-native banking ecosystem to service a new range of customer needs. What you’ll be doing

As a Product Owner, you’ll have end-to-end responsibility for developing our journeys. Day to day, you will:

  • Develop a roadmap for the feature team, aligned to the Future Platform OKRs and roadmap, communicating in clear and simple terms to the feature team and key stakeholders
  • Develop and refine the Product Backlog, including developing user stories and prioritising based on value
  • Promote Agile ways of working, embracing a collaborative approach and working closely with our Product, Design and Engineering Teams
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, where priorities change frequently
  • Put the customer at the heart of new features, considering different approaches to maximise value

About you

An Onboarding Product Owner, responsible for account opening journeys, including marketing and financial crime features, with a passion to deliver exceptional results.

As a minimum requirement you will:

  • Be excited by our vision for the Future Platform Team
  • Be passionate about working with the latest cloud-based technologies and talented teams to deliver great outcomes
  • Have strong agile product experience, using various methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban) with strong experience in Product Ownership, or a similar role working with Scrum teams or in an Agile environment
  • Be confident in communicating clearly and effectively when discussing the feature team roadmap, vision or backlog
  • Have experience of working with cloud-based solutions, third parties and developing greenfield solutions

It will be advantageous, but not critical, to have:

  • Some experience in Customer Onboarding, including growing customer volumes through marketing
  • A certification in Product Ownership
  • Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
