Part of Nationwide’s exciting and growing team of Cloud Platform engineers, as part of the Cloud Access Team you will have an understanding of Identity and Access Management(IAM) concepts and solutions. We invest in our people to ensure we create multi-functional engineers and retain the skills within the organisation. Our engineers are responsible for the delivery of Cloud technical solutions for assigned missions alongside providing consultancy and support services as required. As part of the Cloud Engineering team, we are looking for talented people to help us achieve our goals.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead & influence architectural & design decisions regarding Identity Management Solutions for our Cloud platform.
  • Collaborate with architecture, security, engineering teams and the wider platform engineering teams to set up best in class cloud platforms.
  • Help drive automation of our access solutions and reporting of our controls and governance.
  • Supply technical expertise for all aspects of Identity and Access Management, including onboarding, role based access (RBAC) solutions and privileged access(PAM).
  • Create and Adhere standards and provide governance to contribute to process improvement.
  • Find and escalate dependencies, risks and exceptions that will affect implementation of technical artefacts.
  • Share knowledge with peers to contribute to the skills growth of knowledge within Nationwide’s Engineering COE.

About you

Skilled Engineers with an understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts and that can demonstrate hands-on experience of building solutions with a desire to extend these concepts to the Cloud Platforms. This includes:

  • Understanding of IAM on either AWS or Azure Cloud platforms or a willingness to learn.
  • Designing and implementing identity management and privileged access solutions such as Sailpoint Identity IQ, Cyberark, Hashicorp Vault, Microsoft Priviliged Identity Management or similar.
  • Hands on experience of implementing authentication and authorization solutions leveraging SAML, OpenID Connect, Kerberos or LDAP.
  • Familiarity of RBAC concepts within a large Enterprise environment.
  • Experiencing of controls and governance in a regulated environment including principles of least privilege (POLP) and PAM.
  • Ability to code with scripting languages such as BASH, Powershell, Python.
  • Infrastructure as code and post deployment configuration management using tools such as Terraform, ARM, DSC, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, API Gateway etc preferable.
  • Implementing changes/improvements to production services, ensuring service uptime.
  • Hands-on working experience on Cloud security services of at least one Cloud platform advantages.
