We are seeking a motivated professional to join the Data Privacy team to support and provide pragmatic guidance and advice to the business on compliance with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulation.

Meeting the requirements of data protection legislation and the expectations of our members to protect their information is a key priority at Nationwide. What you’ll be doing

You will be working as part of a team of subject matter experts providing direction, advice and guidance on data privacy across the organisation, and where necessary, third parties.

You’ll be working closely with other teams within Security, answering queries, supporting new projects and initiatives alongside completing relevant governance documentation such as the Record of Data Processing, Legitimate Interests Assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments.

You’ll also have line management responsibilities for some of the Senior Analysts on the team.

About you

At minimum the successful candidate will have:

  • Experience of working within a Data Privacy function
  • Expertise in the requirements of data protection legislation and its application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be motivated and passionate about your subject
  • The ability to meet challenging deadlines to a high standard
  • Be an excellent team player and able to work on your own initiative

It would be nice if you had a relevant qualification in Data Privacy.
