What you’ll be doing

As an Engineering Lead, you will helping shaping up the Document management platform comes under  Servicing Communications. This group is part of the Chief data & analytics office (CDAO) and part of the overall COO team in Nationwide.

Our Engineering leads are team player with great level of technical understanding, so you’ll be comfortable managing the technical requirements, be they on or offshore. You’ll work with colleagues across the society to deliver the Servicing Comms for Nationwide.

We’re looking for Engineering lead with passion, creativity, determination and enthusiasm that will help us uncover the best ways of delivering value in the future.

You can expect to work alongside experts in digital, banking, security, risk and card services, as well as colleagues who understand how our branch systems work and how best to deliver exceptional service. Above all, we’ll give you the accountable freedom you’ll need to propose and deliver the best solution for our members.

We understand that learning is essential for us to grow as Engineering Lead, so we’ll provide access to Pluralsight and Degreed courses, regular training courses, and the time that you need to learn. There are plenty of opportunities for you to teach, too.

About you

For the role of Engineering lead, we are looking for a demonstrated significant track record of the end-to-end technical understanding, knowledge, and optimization of an organisation's technology platform or platforms in Financial Services, or other similar regulated sectors. That means we expect you to have skills in the following:

  • Technical & hands on knowledge of Columbus DW archiving solution.
  • Understand and hands on experience of Native and associated documents/objects for retrieval in Columbus.
  • Knowledge of how ECexplorer & Web UI interface works with Columbus.
  • Hands on experience of Columbus Software and patch deployments, how the documents ingested and retrieved in Columbus.
  • Hands on experience of Archives creations and setup of volumes in each archive.
  • Understanding different file formats supported in Columbus DW tool and how document extraction work through different digital channels.
  • Understanding around TLE structures get defined in Documents.
  • Understand how different types of documents stored & retrieved in Columbus.
