Celebrating time with us

Long serving relationships mean a lot to us and our customers.

Every year we hold an event to celebrate Nationwide colleagues who are reaching 30 and 40 years of service.

This year we welcomed our colleagues to our Threadneedle Street event space in London.

Scarlett Rolt from our Rewards and Benefits team organised the event. Scarlett explained “The recognising loyalty event for our colleagues reaching 30 and 40 years of service celebrated colleagues’ continuous contributions over the years. There was an informative yet engaging talk from our Society Archivist who took us on a journey about Nationwide’s heritage. You could feel the nostalgia in the room. It was amazing to see our ExCo members connecting with colleagues and sharing experiences which really made colleagues feel valued and special.”

Debbie Crosbie, our Chief Executive Officer commented “Our people are what make Nationwide special. They are so important to everything we do, so we make sure we look after them and celebrate the contribution they make.”

Rachel Roberts who has just completed 30 years of service said “Nationwide has been very good to me, I’ve been presented with many career opportunities, I started as a Cashier and have worked my way up to a Senior Branch Manager. Some of my best friends are from the first branch I worked in when I was 18 years old.”

Claire Barratt was also celebrating 30 years of service and commented “I’ve always felt so supported, and the colleagues I’ve worked with throughout my years are great.”

Celebrating 40 years of services was Robert Smith who said “It’s been great to reminisce on old times. Looking through the Nationwide archives, you don’t realise how quickly time has gone.”

We're a workplace where you're rewarded, recognised, supported and celebrated. It's all here at Nationwide.
