Benefitting you

Every Autumn we open up our enrolment window, giving you the chance to choose additional benefits dependent on where you might be in life. For example you might choose to boost your pension contributions, buy extra holiday, purchase dental or medical insurance, or invest in a new bike through the Cycle to Work scheme.

Generous holiday allowance

25 days, increasing to 30 days per year (pro rata for part-time workers). Option to 'buy' up to an extra 10 days holiday, with the approval of your line manager.

Pension 

If you're over 16 and under 75, you automatically become a member of our contributory pension scheme, the Nationwide Group Personal Pension. Pay the minimum contribution of 4% of your salary and we'll contribute 13%. Pay more than 4% and we'll match your additional contributions up to a maximum of 3%. Therefore, if you contribute 7% we'll contribute 16%. This means you'll receive 23% of your salary into your pension each month.

Working flexibly

We are proud of the ways colleagues can work together and continue to put our customers at the heart of all we do. We value and prioritise coming together. If you are office based, you have flexibility to work up to three days per week from home. If you are branch based, you will be on-site. When colleagues come together, you are met with an engaging and connective environment, where we collaborate and learn from each other. We also have a range of other flexible ways of working and support options too, all designed to get the very best from colleagues.

Helping you to help others

There are a host of ways you can make a positive impact on society through the Fairer Futures programme. From utilising your 14 hours volunteering time, to exploring the payroll giving options, applying for a grant of up to £10,000 for a charity you are actively involved with, to joining our network of passionate local social impact leads. We aspire for every colleague to get involved and make a difference to the communities we live and work in.
