The Festival of Benefits
BenefitsHigh performing and purpose-driven people deserve rewarding career experiences and highly competitive benefits to match. This includes a range of customisable benefits to suit your current lifestyle. Every November, Nationwide employees have the opportunity to choose and customise the benefits they wish to take advantage of. Whether they're buying products, accessing services or enhancing their well-being.
We caught up with our Proposition, Recognition and Benefits team to learn more about our most recent ‘Festival of Benefits’ roadshows. We offered Swindon based colleagues the chance to meet with benefit suppliers to learn more about the different benefits available.
Sandra Gomes from our Bereavement team spoke to us about the savings she’s made so far. “I’ve been using Nationwide’s MyReward app for everyday purchases and have saved around £400 since May. It’s made a real difference. I’m also interested in the tech 'buy now pay later' scheme as I need a new laptop.”
Her team regularly share tips on how to build savings, and how to make smart choices when buying holidays and household appliances.
Benefits Specialist, Jo Williams, showcased one of our newer benefits ‘Wellhub’ - which gives discounted gym memberships as well as free access to numerous health and well-being apps. “As colleagues, we don’t always necessarily know all of the great benefits that Nationwide offers, and events like this give the opportunity to ask questions in person to the provider whilst they’re here”.
Benefits relating to pension and health checks were of particular interest to Clare Crowley from our Regulatory Relations team. She said “It’s an excellent opportunity to give people the chance to learn more and ask specific questions tailored to their circumstances. In a busy world, we’re bombarded with information, so meeting suppliers face to face is really useful.”
