We’re thrilled to have made this year’s Stonewall top 100 inclusive employers list in recognition of our work to support LGBTQ+ employees, enabling them to be themselves at work every day.
This year we placed 77th on the list, which is 32 places up from our ranking last year and 153 places up from the year before, showing how dedicated we are to progress.
Who are Stonewall?
Stonewall is Europe’s largest charity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer rights.
What we’ve been doing…
Our Proud Network and People & Culture community have worked hard over the last year with inclusion partners, colleagues and leaders across the Society to improve the support we give to LGBTQ+ employees and members.
This includes:
- Educating and spreading awareness of LGBTQ+ issues
- Improving our policies for LGBTQ+ employees
- Being headline sponsors for two Pride parades across the UK
- Offering non-binary pronouns to our customers and providing guidance for employees who wish wish to share gender pronouns in their email signatures.
The Proud Network
The Proud Network supports LGBTQ+ colleagues and members. We work with our other Employee networks and external organisations to deliver activity and events that inform, educate and inspire. Embracing inclusion and wellbeing so that everyone can thrive is key to our culture here at Nationwide, so we take the opportunity to shine a spotlight on all things LGBTQ+.
