In the meantime, we've included a few frequently asked questions below.

Who can apply for our Development Programmes?

I’ve applied before. Can I re-apply?

Yes, as long as it was a minimum of 6 months ago.

I’m not a recent graduate and have some years work experience. Can I still apply?

Yes, we encourage applications from all ages, including individuals with work experience.

I don’t have the right to work in the UK, can I still apply?

Employment at Nationwide is conditional upon you having the right to work lawfully in the UK in the role you are applying for.

What qualifications do I need to apply for the Development Programmes or Industrial Placements?

For our Development Programmes you'll need to check the advert for the minimum requirements. However, generally it will either be a degree or experience/a keen interest in the programme area.

About the application process

What is the closing date for applications?

The last date for the majority of our Development Programmes & Industrial Placements is the end of December, with Summer Internships advertised from January 2018. We do recommend submitting your application as soon as possible as some adverts may close earlier if we receive a high volume of applications.

We may have programmes that extend past the end of December so make sure to keep an eye on our website.

What provisions do Nationwide make for candidates with a disability?

Nationwide are an equal opportunities employer, and we encourage candidates with disabilities to apply.

There is a section on all of our application forms where we will ask you to confirm if you have a disability which will then highlight this to us, however, if you require additional time for your online tests due to a disability, please contact nationwide@cut-e.com

Are expenses incurred during the recruitment process reimbursed?

We’ll refund any reasonable expenses up to £50.00 (so keep hold of your receipts!). This option is only for successful applicants who have been invited to an assessment event.

How are my results calculated?

When these tests are scored, your responses are compared to a group of other people who have taken the test.  Comparing your scores like this gives an indication of your relative performance compared to other people.

After completing the tests, a feedback report will become immediately available to you on the test platform.
